Brad Wheeler Named Premier Head Coach


The Rochester Jr Hockey Club is proud to announce Brad Wheeler as the Head Coach of the USPHL Premier team. Brad brings a wealth of coaching and player development experience to our organization.


“Brad is a perfect fit in our organization. With Brad’s experience in player development, he is exactly what we are looking for. Nick Unger and Brad will work closely together to ensure that all players in our organization are receiving the best player development and pursuing our mission of being leaders in player advancement,” said Owner Thomas Masaschi.


Wheeler is a Rochester native who grew up playing youth and high school hockey in the area. He moved on to play Collegiate hockey at SUNY Canton and Fredonia. From there, Brad played professionally in the UHL (United Hockey League).


After his playing career, Brad moved back to the Rochester area to pursue coaching Youth and High School hockey. Over the years, Wheeler’s coaching career has taken him all over the country with his involvement in many youth, junior organizations, and the USA Hockey Development Program. In addition to Wheeler’s coaching experience, he has a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Brockport in Physical Education and has many different connections throughout the hockey world. “I would like to thank the Rochester Jr Monarchs for this opportunity. I am excited to get started and look forward to working with the players and the staff,” said Brad Wheeler.
